Belvedere

The Belvedere Tower is a landmark high atop the Lousberg and offers a stunning overlook of Aachen and the lush countryside that extends into the neighboring regions.

Originally built in the 19th century, the tower has served various purposes over the years, including as an observation point and a small café. What makes the tower truly special is the view from its top: on clear days, not only are Aachen’s historic church spires visible, but the scenery stretches far into Germany and Belgium.

The Lousberg itself is a favorite spot for hikers, with well-maintained trails winding through forested paths and passing by various artworks and monuments that share the region’s history.
